I wired in a bypass relay to the nitrous off the trans brake and for some reason she no worky...

went up for the nitrous hit last night and the switch is supposed to shut the nitrous off with the trans brake button is pushed and then release power back to the nitrous relay with the button is let go.. anywho, it worked just the opposite for some reason the nitrous hit on the brake and when I let the button go the nitrous shut off.. :banghead: log shows it had nitrous for aprox .5 seconds and was pulling all the nitrous timing the whole run, oh well back to the drawing board:lol: at least the A/F and plugs looked cherry!!

Stall the convertor on the bottle and forget it.

I have the Vega wired the way you are describing and it worked fine. Are you sure all the wires ar on the right post of the relay?

i'm going to meter it tonight when i get back to see if the relay is bad.. but all the wires are to the correct post.. Costa gave me a good idea how to bypass the whole thing in the Dig. 7 i'm thinking that is the way i'm going to go with it.. :drunk:

I'm pretty sure u have 87 and 30 flipped on the nitrious relay ---- 30 should go to the nitrious solenoids and 87 should be ur 12 volts from trans relay 87a.

hm, 30 is always power.. and 87 is the switch side of the relay.. so i don't see how that will work.. but, i'll meter it and see what it does..

when 86 is activated on the trans brake relay it pulls power from the 87a and applys it to 87 when the button is released it takes the power from 87 and directs it back to 87a that is the "switch" 87a then sends power to 30 on the nitrous relay that is power for the system as long as the main arming switch and WOT microswitch are on..

First thing Scott, check the diagram on the relay to make sure 30 and 87 aren't switched from how you have it set up. The relays appear to be wired correctly, I have a relay in my hand and it it does show that it would have to be wired the way you have it. However, I've always been able to wire a relay either direction on those two and have it work, with 87a thrown in it will make a big difference.

However, I'd check to make sure the relay is actually clicking and then check your switches to make sure the wiring is on the right posts.

87 and 30 is the "switch" in a relay.. so with that you can run them either way.. the relay is active with the trans brake button is pressed, and i've gone over the posts like 10 times now..lol, anywho.. thanks for you input Omar i've been banging my head on this all night.. but, here is my new plan.. i'm going to use the launch rev, launch retard, and the window switch in the dig 7 to control the system instead of using this relay jibber jabber.. ex: set the launch rev (2 step) at 3900 rpm and have the nitrous window switch come on at 4000 pulling an additional 5 deg. for 1.5 sec. on a ramp.. that way i can mat it and not have the nitrous hitting on the brake as well as control the wheel speed for the first few rotations.. I'm thinking it will work we'll see..

It's only that way if there is no center post, then it'd make a difference.

did you go through all the ind components to make sure that nothing was faulty?

yes, checked them all twice.. but, still found no reason this wouln't have worked.. but, it is what it is.. i've already pulled the second relay out and got it all set up to go thru the dig 7.. thanks for your help.. SL
