Is a ****ING WICKED blower from what I hear. If anyone one on the board has one, post up with pics and application. The bitch bolts right up to S-trim brackets and its not much bigger (phisycally) than an S-trim. I hear they can support well over 1,000 up here and can feed a good headed 400+ ci motor... which is even hard for an X-trim to do here. Post up with any set-ups if thee is any. It would be nice to see a local set up.
My YSI ate shit Monday. Bearings went out or something. ~7-8k miles on it. $800 minimum to have vortech rebuild it. Not happy. Plus the 4-5 weeks of down time right when it is time to go play before it is too hot outside.
Yah not too happy. Of course no "Warranty" because it is a race blower, and even when I pay them $800 to rebuild it no warranty on the rebuild. Not happy. Would look at swapping to a PC if it wasn't stupid expensive.
Reading nightmare stories. If it is just the two bearings and two seals it is $800 but typically bearings take out the gears so that is another $800 so could easily be $1500-1600 to rebuild it.
Not vortech's fault. When I had a belt die at 300 miles it sucked some into the back. I cleaned it as well as I could but when I just opened it the one bearing was full of belt still. Ohh well. Surprised it last 7k miles full of belt.
