I have a friend who got a Vortech Supercharger and its only the head unit. He called me to go look at it because he needs to find out some info on it. According to him he has no brackets or piping just the head unit. I went to look at it and this is the info I got from the tag on the charger.

Vortech Supercharger
Model # V-2
Serial #18036
Carb Eq# D-213-16
and pully on it measures 31/2''

He wants to find out what it fits, how much its worth, just some info on the charger so any advice is appreciated. And if anyone has good links on info let me know.

The S trim is about the most popular one out there, assuming thats what you have it's prolly worth somewherein the $1200-1500 range complete. The head unit alone is worth $500-800 depending on the shape it's in.
look on ebay and you can get a good idea of what they are selling for

No... Alot of Vortechs floating around out there are Reverse Rotation units for 4.6 Mustang kits and LT-1's... There are more and more on the market thanks to blown-up motors and shitty stock cast pistons. Hell... Bitchstang sold the blower off of his old 4.6 and just put a new NA motor back in the car. Vortechs are particular and honestly if your friend is looking at making a decent amount of power, I would ditch that V-2 head unit Idea and look for a T-Trim Head Unit if he is dead set on a Vortech. A T-Trim will bolt right up to S-Trim Brackets.
