SO AFTER GOING THROUGH GASKETS AFTER GASKETS I DECIDED TO GET A FRESH DECK ON THE BLOCK AND START FRESH, SO I TOAR THE ****ER APART
AND THERE WAS A HAIR LINE CRACK IN CYLINER 2 IM THE THINKING IT WAS THE CULPRIT OF THE GH WOES, OT TO MENTION THAT TEH PISTON TO WALL CLEARANCE WAS IN EXCESS OF 6 THOUSANTHS. SO IT IS NOW A FLOWER POT THAT HOLDS 6 FLOWERS. PURCHASED A USED BLOCK THAT WILL BE GETTING THE ROYAL TREATMENT BY A TOP NOTCH MACHINEST, BUT I HAD TO GET THE ****ER WELDED TODAY CAUSE STUPID ASS FED EX WAS RUFF WITH IT AND IT WAS PACKAGED LIKE SHIT. ONE OF THE EARS WHERE IT MONTS TO THE TRANNY BROKE IN HALF. Head Water Tire Wheel Eye

Man that sucks dude. Sorry to tell you this but that ear is almost guaranteed to break off again. Every cast iron block I've seen get a trans mount ear welded back on always breaks, especially when your pushing a lot of power. I would buy another block to be safe.

the guy who did this work does TOP quality work, on my particular tranny alot of the stress is at the top bolts and the bottom bolts have some thick guides coming out of the ear that slide into the block . i have faith
