This is my 98 Trans Am that I'm starting to play with. I couldn't beat the deal on the price of the car, then got the exhaust for $25 and the wheels for $350. None of which I really intended on spending but just couldn't drive a stock car. I have alot of plans for the car, just trying to keep myself from buying things until I know exactly what I want. I do plan on going over 400 cubic inches with a 150-250 shot of nitrous. I kinda want to keep the 6-speed just for taking it up and down the highway but that could change. And it will have a 12-bolt if not a 9" with prolly a 3.73 gear. All this could change at any moment but I've already started taking 20% of every check and setting it aside for the car. So that means I've cut down onthe eating out so maybe I can take so more weight off the car by loosing some my damn self.

Heres what she looked like the day I brought her home. Stock except for a lid, ****ed up tint on the windows and 131,000 miles. It also came with a WS6 hood that the corner got busted during shipping, but nothing a good fiberglass person can't fix.

After a week she had tinted windows, flowmaster cat-back and Z06 motorsports.

Then it took two weeks for the rear tires to come in but they were cheap. That and I took the bird off the back and painted the bottom black.

Well she is going in the shop this weekend even though I have not seen the car in almost two months. I'm working in Houston and have accumulated a few parts. Heres what she has as of 11-1-08

MS4 with PRC springs
Ported TB and LS6 intake
Hooker Long tubes and off road y-pipe
Lowering springs 1.3" (they were cheap) and before I got the QA1's
QA1's for the front (rears coming soon)
BMR Extreme Torque Arm
BMR Weld in sub frame connectors
Spec Stage 3 clutch and flywheel
LS2 timing set
TNT F1 nitrous kit with two nitrous bottles (gonna paint them as one is black the other is blue)
BMR Lower control arms
BMR LCA Relocation brackets
BMR adj. panhard bar
SLP dual out tips (again very cheap)
Tink adjustable master cylinder

Sounds factory cd player skipped and several speakers sounded like they were blown
Alpine idax100 media player
Alpine 6.5" speakers for back seat
Infinity component speakers for doors
Stealth box with kicker sub (I think) and amp
Fuel rail covers
McNord checkered guage overlays
Blue led interior lights (if they ever come in) hate the pontiac orange lights
and some other things I can't think of I'm sure
Nitrous pressure guage
Phantom oil pressure, coolant temperature, volt meter guages (might sell and get some cobalt guages but they came as a package)

Parts added 11-13-08
BMR tubular K-member
Weiand/LPE ported aluminum intake
Strut tower brace

Needs a clutch now. Tried to launch it last night and the clutch did not like the tires. Don't know how they will do under cars with power but they will hold more than this car is putting down.

It definately needs more power, just kinda worried about spraying it as many miles as it has. That is why I went with cheap tires for now. That and they were the only 315's they had in stock for under $300.

This car is bone stock, except a lid and flowmaster catback. Supposed to be the second clutch in the car but it been in it for awhile. It has the LS1 intake and all the other BS the 98s had. My last one had the SPEC stage 3 and it did pretty good. I'm really hoping to get over 500 rwhp NA, just can't make up my mind if I want the 408 or spend alittle more and go with the 418.

Decided to wait on the bigger motor until I see what the economy is going to do, but added a few parts to the original post. And still collecting more.

Going to be running this setup in stripper mode.

Hopefully they will be in by Next Tuesday and I can get everything mounted up.

Aso picked up a BMR extreme drag bar so now I just need a 12 bolt or a 9" if anybody knows where one is.

Not making that much power yet. And it will have to be a damn good deal on the 12 bolt for me to buy it.

finally got her tuned and she made 375rwhp and I want to say 350rwtq through the chokemaster and tuned for spray with the 18s and 315s. With a cutout, underdrive pulley and a ported throttle body (found out the one I got was not ported but I didn't ever get to see it until after it was installed) she might get to the 400rwhp mark. The pro 5.0 came in today as well and hopefully when iget home for Christmas I can get the suspension and stripper shoes on.

I have not had much a of a chance to mess with the car lately but I will be home for the next two weeks so I plan on getting a few things done. Yesterday I ran to Lubbock and picked up a 6.0 out of I believe a 2004+ chevrolet truck and picked up a Eagel 4.00" stroke crank this morning. I have alos had two people sell 9" out from under me but I will get one soon hopefullly.

Took a few pics with my phone last night. Tried getting one when she was taking off and had the fronts off the ground a few inches, but the camera wasn't quick enough.

Thiniing about putting her on a diet and still need to get a few bugs worked out, but she hooks pretty good now that she has the 9" and all.

The 4" exhaust should be delivered today, hopefully I will pick up the Corbeau Forza 2 seats this evening, and maybe a 6-point cage later in the week (depending on if I have to go back to houston). Also ordered the bottle brackets last night, so I can go ahead and mount two bottles in the hatch or come up with some way to mount them where the back seats were.

The 4" exhaust with the magnaflow muffler is on and sounds alot better than the chokemaster. I got the drivers side corbeau seat in but needs some different bolts to get the passenger side seat in. They are some bitches to get the bolts tight and not the easiest to get in and out of so I think some low slung door bars on a cage will work great. I'm hoping to start her diet saturday evening or sunday. Plan is to remove both passenger and driver's air bags. Remove all the carpet and replace with lightweight black carpet (mine is too stained and rugged to keep). Move the heater and airconditioner controls to the glove box, and install the volt meter, nitrous pressure, and water temp, guages where the heater and ac controls once were. (might even try and put them above the radio, since I have the Alpine media player instead). Still need to order my air-fuel gauge. Hopefully the battery relocation box will ship tomorrow, and possibly order the burkhart front bumper support. Then I plan on removing the front sway bar, all the smog junk, and any other useless weight in the front end.

Sounds like you got some work to do. When do you plan on having her ready to roll? Next season? I have an Auto meter A/F gauge if you need one. $20 bucks and it's yours. post pics when you get the seats mounted cherry.
She's going to the track in Hobbs tomorrow. Two weeks ago was the first time I took it down the track and it ran a 13.4 at 104 pulling the front wheels about 6" then bogging. The exhaust was full of sand, and would literally dump that shit all over the track(it had a single 2.5 with a flowmaster, now it is 4" with a magnaflow that is wide open). I plan on trying to keep all of my guages the Cobalt gauges, since the stereo has the blue lights, the dash lights are all blue and it has the checkered overlay. I'll post some pics when I start tearing the interior apart and dropping weight. That and some after she is ready to roll. i was hoping to get the bottle on it tonight but, I'm just now fixing to leave my office, and I have another meeting at 7:00AM in the morning. Still going to try and get the plugs changed and the 10.4mm wires one it tonight though, but we'll see when I get home.

Took it to the track last friday. The quality sucks because it was taken with just a little Kodak M1033. The kid videoing was having trouble figuring out the camera, but I did get lots of footage of the ground. I mainly just wanted to see how the suspension was doing when launching. I think after watching in slow motion, I'm going to mark the wheel and tire because in the second one it looks like the wheel is spinning inside the tire. Also going to get the LCA relocation brackets to see if the rears will push down alittle more. I think the first pass was a 12.8 and the second was a 12.7. This is still no nitrous and the DA was supposedly over 6000. It was full weight still, but I have gotten alittle weight off.

Update

Well when I decided to install the FAST, I got a little carried away. There was some long nights after working late and few silver cans and clear bottles with some mexico name that helped influence but she is back together until I get home again Sunday. While taking the old intake off, little things like the air conditioner lines got in the way so they came out. Well I couldn't half ass it so I pulled it all out, heater/ac, blower motor, condensor, etc. Well since I had to take the dash out, I figured might as well take care of the air bag and such along with all the ducting and heater and air conditioner controls. While taking that out, how much more is it to take the carpet it out and clean it? ALot, but it no longer has padding and after $5 at the car wash it is fairly clean. Then the fuel pump went in and painted all the interior flat black, came out pretty good I think. Well back to the front. Again little things were getting in the way and started coming off. So she no longer has the front sway bar or brackets holding it to the frame, or the center part of the front bumper support. The washer fluid resivor is gone and now that I have found an alternative to the huge block for the ABS, it's coming out. Heard that is another 13-16lbs. No need for cruise control, so it will be leaving as well. The battery is in the trunk now as well. After getting it back together, I noticed how much room there was and begin to think how much easier it will be to change heads, so I picked up a set of 799's that will be going on it Sunday night or Monday night. Also went to a 25% underdrive pulley. Heres a few pictures of how nasty it was. I figure it lost between 100 and 150lbs.
