Right on man! You should pull out that rubber insulation off the firewall while you have the dash out(11lbs iirc). Which Chute mount/setup are you going with? I'd also pull out the sound deadening in the t top holder area(6lbs iirc) if you haven't already, heat gun and a scraper will help a lot. Not a lot of weight savings, but all the little things add up and help offset the weight of the cage, chute, turbo kit etc.... Lol, I'd also pull the door/crash bars out too if you haven't already, no need for them since the cage has its own door bars. I've edited this post with weight reduction stuff like three times now, ha!

Thanks guys. The cage is a Wolfe 10pt mild steel, jig notched. So I'm gonna make sure it all fits and have Andy from RaceFab mig it all in. The parachute mount is wolfe also. Prolly gonna get a Stroud chute.
I'll pull all that sound shit out also, just done working on it for now. Thanks for the info Eddie.
I still have some heat wrapping and wiring to do as well, but I have a few months before the car has to be ready. Plenty of weekends between now and then.

I thought the cage had to be TIG welded in. I thought that was an NHRA requirement??

I already ordered the MS one. The extra money isn't worth it if you ask me. Only save about 35lbs and pay wayyy more to get it Tig'd in.Also costs a few hundred more than the MS.spend the little extra money and go CM you will thank me in the long run.. git r dun...SL

Sucks you gotta put a chute on that car, but rules are rules and It's cheaper than buying expensive brakes, I don't wanna put one on my car but I'm sure it will get one down the road.
I am getting the same cage but chrome-moly, did you get the thru-floor subframe connectors aswell?
