As the title says, need to know what precautions I should take and the best/proper way to connect the car to the pickup so I dont mess anything(else) up during transport.

I think AAA either the driveline and tows it like that, thats what we used to do at Big West
or they hook it up front he rear, so the front tires are rolling and the back
isnt...

I pretty sure the only place that you hook up to are the t hooks or baby j hook spots which are just behind the front wheels. Other then that man i would not trust just pulling it by truck. I have a car trailer and truck if you want to throw some cash for fuel i would do it for ya. or i can give you the number to the tow company i work for i might be able to get you a better deal
