I have a 75 Chrysler Cordoba that was left to me by a good friend that has pasted away. Car was in good running condition. I went into the Navy for a few years and Cali weather was rough on my Doba. So i started the Restore, unfortunatly i am on a tight budget. Let me know what you think.

Ahh...1975 -- from hip-huggers, bellbottoms and leisure suits to pet rocks, mood rings, PEZ candy and disco, President Ford could relax...'nam was finally over. Superbowl IX, the Steelers beat the Vikings 16 to 6 and the Saturday Night Live premier was hosted by George Carlin.

Once you got your girl in the back seat on that "soft Corinthian leather" and fired up Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain and Tennille on the ol' 8-track even your new magic 8-ball knew her shirt was as good as off...

Nice resto man, keep us posted. :)
God damn Keith

Sweet project. Good work.
1-2 or 2-3 shift in the first video sounds like you need to adjust (or install?) the transmission throttle linkage. The Daytons aren't for me, but whatever floats your boat.

Nice project..looks like it comin along good.

I know, the throttle linkage isnt quite right. Still a few bugs to kick out. HA HA i was wondering how long it would take before someone said anything about the wheels. They grow on you. It had wires on it when i got it, i just put cleaner ones on.

Thanks everyone. This is a learn as i go project too. I have never done any of this before. I have been teaching myself on each step. So any recommendations are welcome.
The Transmission linkage on your throttle isn't just a "Kick Down." You WILL have transmission problems if it isn't installed and adjusted properly. Aside from that, the car looks nice. Good luck!
So this has been a very slow build, due to budget. Life has been slowing it down. IN the last couple years I have gotten better jobs. Better job is letting me get back to this build. So couple updates and plan changes.

Couldnt keep the car running very well, Every time I put it in gear, she died. If I was able to get in gear she would die after. It was a pain. Finally I ordered a new Carb. A Speed Demom 650cfm. She ran great, fired up easily, stayed running.

A buddy moved back to California and knows more about mechanical work then me. I was researching rebuilding the stock 360. He convinced me to change my plans and the new engine build has begun. Budget is still limiting the speed of the build, but steady forward progress is being made.

Couple pics of the Demon

Second change. Wheels. I like the wires(look). I hate the size. If i could find them/afford them, I would have offset wires, with nice wide wheels in the back. Came across these

Main change in plans. My buddy Mark talked me into going to a big block. I found a 440 Motor and tranny for a fair price. Drove to Reno and picked it up. Didnt look like much. Has potential. We also had all the stock parts we could get, alt, distributor, motor mounts and much more.

We began tearing it down.

Then it came time to begin the rebuild....

Ok, Motor plans. We decided if we are going to rebuild a motor, we should just go big instead of a basic rebuild. On the downside going big cost more and this is my very first engine rebuild. I am learning a lot as we go.

:money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money:

took the block in and had a shop work it over and bored .030 over

:money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money:
Ordered a all forged 528 stroker kit. Flat top pistons.

Ordered aluminum "stealth" heads and pro billet distributor from 440 source, and eldebrock intake, just came in.

:money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money:

The heads complete and "ready to go". I will probly have to change out the springs depending on how high a lift cam I go with.

The way everything is now, puts me at 12.1:1 compression ratio. Still concerned about that being a little high. I want to keep this on pump gas. Some of my research shows that I may need to run a water injection kit to be able to run pump gas. :(

The more I get in the more excited I am to get this back on the road. Next up I need a cam and carb. Still researching. Any recommendations would be great.

so finally ordered the Carb. Its a Holley HP modified by AED performance 1000 CFM.

SO I had to place everything together to get an idea of how it will look.

Very excited. Cant wait. Few more parts to order.

This thing should make some good power.
I am shopping for a cam now. I sent request to a few big cam companies for their recommendations. Comp cams replied with their Xtreme energy 21-229-4. Over the last month or so I sent 3 request to Lunati, with no response. Couple days ago sent one to Crower, no response yet. Dont want to get the wrong cam. Still waiting, but will order soon.

Did order the Valve covers and valley pan.

Slow progress. hopefully after Xmas it will get more momentum.
