I like to get some opinions on non intercooled Turbo limitations, such as:

1. how much boost without detonation can be made assuming an 8.8-1 CP-3.48 stroke, 4.060 bore
2. 91 octane fuel
3. 8500 RPM limit
4. recommended / suggested Turbo size
5. approx. HP with above restrictions

I realize there are so many variables involved, and the above parameters are overly simplistic, but that was my intention, I guess I could've just asked how much Power can be made on pump gas without an intercooler, I could google this, but I'd like to hear from some of you local Turbo guys, Thanks in advance,
-John

PT88. should be able to get away with 700+ non intercooled. I made 820 13 pounds with an ebay cooler, 91 octane. My motor is high 8 comp. Although it is bigger CI you would be looking at similar results with your rpm. Made 935 today with q16 on 20 psi. Blew the end tank apart and HP tuners had a bug in their software that was making the injectors go 1400% Duty cycle- I.E. 10-1 A/f. Should be back on the dyno tomorrow and see if she will make the 1k mark. All with the little PT88.

Just as simple as e-mailing them and they will get it fixed in a heartbeat.

Just that simple. :banghead:

What are you really trying to say Bad News:)
I never could have guess'd that in the year 2009, a bag of ice would be the #1 power adder:lol:
I've just been thinking that if I've got my car to run low 10's on '60's technology, what it might do with 2009 technology, but I like things simple, mostly because my limited intellect demands simplicity, but also because I just like it that way, and let's face it, if you can do it....anybody can do it:driving:

You car needs that big bad blower sticking out the hood. I wanted to build a Chevy II with a big singe or twins but thats what I understand. Put a carburetor in front of me and I'm about as worthless as Johnvon in a drag race. Your car is probably the baddest street car in New Mexico and I would not change it without a fight.

+1. I absolutely loved watching that car go down the track at the first No Bull. That car doesn't need a turbo. Buy something else and put a turbo small block in it.

Edit: Put a turbo LS1 in it lol

An LS6 is what I really want, I have a killer set of heads for one sitting in my garage.
