Depends on a lot of variables really. Not going to get into that kinda shop talk though.
It's a generalization. Of course there's variables.

That car is pretty serious, and 240+ is no joke. Damn.

Ah, yea.....but 150mph traps do not determine 200mph capabilities.

Anyhow, for us bike guys every little bit counts and I mean every little bit. If your too big you need way more power, too small and air can get trap in front of you and behind you in ways that will limit your top speed. Thus fine tuning our body positions every which way but loose.......

Hell, a few weeks back I raced the Busa with 2 feet off the bike, then with 1 foot of the bike followed with both feet back on the bike. For every foot or leg off the bike I lost a .10 and 1 mph in 1/4 mile trap speeds. Trying to tune my air shifter. Sounds dumb but a lot of guys who have air shifters and don't bother getting their feet back on the pegs and they stand to gain some ET, etc.

A friend of mine in AZ did a lot of hard real world testing on aerodynamics. Yes, I know it's nothing new to a lot of you but as an example on bikes, with elbows sticking out and the legs not deep enough into the gas tank, once over 185mph, 2-3mph losses in top speed were seen. Take the mirrors of the bike and another 3 mph was gained once over 190mph.

Just thinking out loud.....

I use to want to do that many times but just never made it. Now I could care less for the most part. Maybe I should do it to be part of the 200mph club......you know, bragging rights along with a thousand others who've done it.....

i would have to break a record to be in the 200 MPH club and i dont have the money or know how to be in that club, i would be happy with 200.00 but i doubt ill have the power to make it.
There was a bike set up very close to mine that went 190 last week with a 220 pound rider all motor

I'd suggest joining one of the 200mph club forums for some tips before going. Plus once there on location, plenty of people to help and give advice. It's hard to reach such a speed in a standing mile. I was just happy to hit 186mph but that took a better part of a mile and half.
