Just think...one day at sea level and Art your bike might set a record...
hahahaha now thats funny!!!!! i think the quickest stock motor 14 is around a 8.35 the guy was hitting it with over a 100 shot on a 2 stage on a bone stock motor stock clutch but he was sitting at 66''

there are alot of guys running bottom 8.80s to mid 8.70s on stock motor 14s hand clutching running all motor but they weigh around 130#

Hmmm I was thinking more along the lines of...."Fastest cockmaster to grace the drag-strip with his flaming presence." That should be the first record ever set of that kind.

Newbie busa owner here wanting to lower/stretch, what's the stock length on a busa again? How far out was that one stretched?

Okay, now that we know how to stretch it, what is the best way to lower a new busa? front and rear?

Lowering links In the rear and strap the front or slide the forks up the lowering links are good for 2-4'' but on the lowest setting it would be a good idea to get the shortened side stand and the strap is good for about 3-5'' or so depending on how much room you have to the top of the front fender to the bottom of the front faring.

I've got Art covered in that area..... 5" slammed with me on it....

But really, just lower the forks in the triple tree about a little over 1 1/4" or so which will net you about 2" at least in the front....that equals "FREE". The rear just use aftermarket dog bones which will give you 3 spots of adjustability, stock, 2" or 3". Not all dog bones are the same, some will give 1/4" +/- of difference. Not everyone makes them the same.....this equals $20-25.
If you need more in the front, you can still lower it more through the tree but I like about 1 1/2" and then use a strap to pull the rest. This will keep the forks from moving when launching which helps keep the front from wheeling.

My bike is slammed in the front and almost all the way in the rear but since I do not have an aftermarket undertail, I'm at the max from rubbing plus the swingarm box hits the battery tray under a good launch.

I bought a 09 Busa and the triple tree looks different from my past GSXR's, I think you have to buy a plate with stupid looking spacers to lower the forks through the tree, I could be wrong but this is what research I came up with, straps always made me nervous, but it is looking to be the most convincing way to go. Should I get fixed dogbones or the adjustable kind?

Also I want to extend the swingarm, should I buy the cheap billet extensions or go fixed and widen the tire to 240mm? Just seeing what to get everyone's thoughts and opinions before I buy aftermarket parts.

Well I might be part black....................you never know right, my chopper has a 300mm tire and it does not make my hair get kinky. I was jus wondering for traction, I think the stock tire looks a little skinny myself. and I want the bike to stay somewhat low in the front when I ride around, I think it looks higher in the front now and it is stock, I like it slammed down. I just do not know how to get it to where I want it.

I just ordered a new top plate (triple tree), strap, and dog bones from Spencer Cycles. I also ordered the Roaring Toyz shorty kickstand from Schnitz Racing. Should all be here by the end of the week, so the Busa should be lowered by the end of the weekend!!! Can't wait to test it out on the track!!!!
