I already found one here in town from a pretty legit guy, but I wanna see if there is anything else out there. Just pm me, post it on here or text me at 505-414-1473 if you know of anything! Cash in hand and ready to buy :) (hint, the more complete the setup, the more im willing to buy from you, ie bov, fmic, fuel pump, etc)

I had no idea 240s were "different" from one another.

I thought they all came stock with an SR and a GT28RS and some kind of wide body kit and bald ass rear tires.

:lol:

There is no such thing as an SR25. The SR motors are different than the RB family.

240sx are american, with a ka24(d)e.
Silvias are japanese s13 coupes/s14/s15. Sr20det, CA18 blah blah
180sx are japanese s13 hatchs
and don't forget they all come with an aftermarket saleen spoiler look a like! :) forgot what its called but Its sexy.

I know nothing about those motors. But I hear they have VTEC that is engaged all the time. I don't know what that is called....

Lol. And I would love to have an rb but there are too many downsides in my situation. one is cost, hard to find parts, lots of fabrication to make it fit right. I need something reliable and easy to work on so that it lasts me at least until i finish school. Right now my budget is 2500 to get it running. After that, its a bigger turbo, bigger fmic, and stand alone. and injectors obviously. I'm trying to sell my car on zilvia right now actually. If i can get a buyer for my price. I'll have enough money to buy a rolling s14 shell, put a s15 front end on it, put a nice sr in it, paint it and hopefully be making around 325 to the wheels or more.

What are your goals for the car?

I keep thinking drift, but I believe I have seen your car racing in a straight line more often than not.

IMO 2500 is a little low for a build like that, are you talking 2500 after the motor is in and tuned or before?

It's a daily. I just want something fun to drive. Having a ka sucks lol. I dont plan on drifting this car or it really it ever hitting the track except maybe just to see what the quarter mile is just for the fun of it. 2500 is doable. I have a swap here in town from Frank (pink 240sx) for 2k with fmic, piping, motor, turbo, tranny, clutch, ecu, and harness. so all i need with it are injectors, maf which for both will cost under 100, i need a fuel pump for 100, and thats basically all i need. either way a swap would cost 2000 then i need piping, innercooler, fuel pump, and downpipe which all together is like 400 at max. and just running, like it wont break down on me from point a to point b lol. Short term goals right now are get it running, then by years end make 250 and by next year of the end of summer be making like 325 - 350 which is doable with a good tune and quality parts. I am thinking of going a different route at the moment. I just put my car up on Craigslist and hoping it will sell. If i get my asking price or close to it, i can actually bring my original project back to life and get my original goal done.
