This is not my truck rather my moms. It is a late 99 powerstroke dually with about 200,000 miles. The truck has a Bully Dog 6 position chip, Bully Dog Cold Air Intake, and 5" exhaust. The truck is a manual transmission and when they were pulling a large trailer the other day, they said it sounded like it sucked something threw the turbo. Now the truck sounds like it is spooling up (actually wines alittle more), it just doesn't have any power. My first guess was the wastegate. Does this sound about right? I have little knowledge when it comes to diesels and turbos. Any help is greatly appricaited.
sounds like it blew off the charge pipe.. check that first..
