I will prolly get the license next season, I have a lot of work to do to make the car legal to go quicker than 9.99. It'll be a busy winter for sure. 10pt, *caughturbocaugh*, chute, and a nice hood.

Your required to have a chute to go faster than 10.00? Thats serious. I would think like upgraded brakes or something before a chute...
Oh yea and wtf is a coughturbocough?? jk lol Do it bro that would be nasty.
And you know you want one of those Carbon Fiber hoods, save 10lbs bro lol

I've seen people go 8's on stock brakes with a good super-comp Stroud chute.

I guess its cheaper then? But what about the TrueStreetCar look? I hate to say it but Ive never seen any car on the street with a parachute on the back...

Why are you so surprised about a chute?

You need a chute after 150mph in the 1/4. That's the goal next year.

A true street car is a car that's driven on the street, A LOT. It will still be driven on the street with a chute, A LOT.

And Joe, I wasn't talking shit about your 10pt, I was talking shit about your lexan window, fiberglass rear hatch, no interior panels/carpet, brake lights on a toggle, no tranny cooler, no radiator, no battery, and no alternator. The 10pt is for safety.

I don't know if you're still working on the .1, but are you running a Trans brake or foot brake? Also, the chute is cheap insurance! I've talked to a few guys that wished they'd had them after the fact, but never met someone that regretted putting one on their car. Remember that purple barracuda that won one of the Pinks All Out episodes last year? That car is totaled now, and the owner said that if he had a chute he would have been able to save it. He was only running 138mph if I'm not mistaken.

Are you competing in a class or just running for shits and giggles? If you were running for shits and giggles Id say who cares what you are certified to, just go out and run it. They kick you off the track for the night, they kick you off. a friend of mine drove his viper to an 8.90 and got kicked off the track right after. He still took his 8.90 and went home.

But if youre running a class, none of that matters.
