Damn not bad.
Lol, here's my post on that thread from the other site.

"I plan on buying a 5th gen Camaro, and I also plan on modding it. But 6 thousand dollars for a cam and bolt-ons, are you guys out of your ****ing mind? That is outrageous! This is why a deal with Texas Speed and Performance, and will continue doing business with them. They are an honest company who isn't out to rape poor bastards that know nothing about cars. Good luck with your sales. I'm sure you guys will be able to find a few yuppie shmucks that want some "custom street stalker badges" and a cam for 6 thousand dollars. I won't be one of them.

Ignorance is bliss....

Again, those are $1700 American Racing headers, and a $500 tune, $150 badges, take all that off the package and you get $3649.00 with labor, provide your own QUALITY headers and tune it yourself and you got a ****ING DEAL. You want to do it yourself you say? No problem, take off the $1300 for labor and there you go $2349.00.
looks good on the dyno Chris.:headbang:

I have even contemplated buying one...

BUT... the video is gay:gay:

Ignorance huh, you sir are a ****ing tard! 1300 for ****ing labor to put in a cam is a joke. And how about the 292 dollars they list for shop supplies, wtf is that about. And how about 170 dollars to clamp on two pieces of 4 dollar pipe from vato zone in place of the stock resonators. Its outrageous. These people are a ****ing scam.

Edit: And 400 dollars for a pep boys comparable intake is a rip off, along with 300 dollars for a crankshaft pulley that should be 200 dollars at most is retarded as well.

2nd edit: And if you want to compare this to tsp, the labor for my heads/cam, clutch, and the flycutting added up to 1,150. Thats a hell of a lot more work than putting in a camshaft and some overpriced headers. And there was also no b.s. "shop supply" charge, and no charge for welding in a cutout. These jag offs are charging these poor bastards 270 dollars to clamp in a 4 dollar piece of pipe.
That's badass!!! Cam only and 505hp? Hell yea. But for the price idk if it's worth it...
I'll just put a APS twin turbo kit on mine, and call it a day. :headbang:

Exactly, you'll spend about the same money, and make some real power!
That's pretty impressive. 500 N/A is fun as hell.
I'm with pun, 6 grand? puhleeze.
good numbers but not for 6k
Buy a shelby, spend 5999.00 at hellion and have 800 RWHP on pump gas, that is a bargain! The camaro looks nice, just not the ass end!
Sounds sexy as hell. Good find Chris. And for 6k i better here a turbo or supercharger under there.

Here you go again with the tunnel vision... I didn't mean it as disrespect to your opinion but hey whatever.

A 4th gen Camaro cam/heads install is not going to be the same as a 2010. I am sure it probably takes much longer to do all the labor, just like a Corvette its a PITA. The same labor fee for your 4th gen Camaro is not going to be the same as a new 2010. Sure some of the labor is a little costly but for what comes in that kit its not "outrageous".

Here is the breakdown of MY install at TSP

-H/C Install labor- $1250.00
-Fuel Pump Install- $250.00
-TNT Nitrous Install-$350.00
-TNT Nitrous Purge Install-$75.00
-Custom dyno tuning- $300.00

Total $2225.00
Looks like I am a "**** tard" for taking my car to TSP right?

I do agree with you on the Shop Supplies, IDK what that is for but im sure it can be justified, if it wasn't for those expensive ass headers this package wouldn't be so much. Most CAI kits cost right around that price, hell, CAI kits for a 5.9l Cummins run up to $700!! I am sure cheaper products will be produced, after all its not a $100 lid. Just do the work yourself and be happy, instead of talking shit about a shop that knows what they are doing, they make some quality shit and have owned some of the fastest stock suspended LSx records. It would be the same as if some kid was to bash on TSP or any shop for that matter that you know does GOOD work.

Its cheaper when you do it yourself, like john (BADNEWS) said its only hard the first time...

Which is why I am doing the cam install at my house next weekend.

When I took my car to TSP, I didn't know half as much as I do now.
Thats what i like to hear...

Hey Hey I love that shop too..... That must be a big ass cam to put that down on a 376(?)ci motor, given that the heads and intake flow crazy stock.
Not bad power but stupid money. I'm with whoever suggested buying a shelby and putting a hellion on it making over 800hp. To lazy to scroll up but it was probably Rex since he is doing just that.
