It FINALLY happened...

Beat on the car a whole lot today between driving it hard to the dyno, putting the bitch on the dyno, taking it to the track, back to the dyno, and then ****ed around with trey in his car all the way to my house. Right as i'm getting to my house I hit the gas one last time for good measure and the car shut down after making about 5psi. Lots of white smoke. Luckily I was able to coast all the way to my driveway. Not sure of the damage yet but I'm excited to pull the thing apart. Who knows, if the motor is shot then i'll start the build thread for my new bigger and badder setup.

Wow! That was a pretty new motor. Personally, I would have turned it down and raced it for 10 years myself. But, to each his own I guess. Good luck with the new build.
That motor may have been pretty new, but from what we have taken apart so far, LOTS of shortcuts were taken in building that motor.

I think he is running an Extra Large but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Funny thing is when it happened it was turned down as far as it would go. I've been beyond bored with the power the car makes so i've sort of been hoping this would happen. And like Trey said, I can't believe how well that motor ran for all the stupid shortcuts that were taken.

Almost all my standard shit got relocated to my junk tool box. Standard is effing retarded its like math class every time you need a tool.

Foxes are only about 10% Standard in their bolts and nuts, almost everything is metric.
I would like to hear a little more about the "short cuts" taken when this motor was put together.
So far what we have found are some shitty head gaskets and stock looking head bolts. Boosted car that doesnt have head studs and good gaskets is stupid. Thats as far as we have gotten thus far

What do you consider good gaskets? MLS? Actually not necessary and they negate your safety factor. They won't blow before your engine does. Even Bob Kurgan advised me to use stock head gaskets, lol.

You don't really need studs in a stock block Fox cause you won't gain much, they're still too small anyway (diameter). ARP bolts work fine.
