Lol! The car was running great Saturday so I decided to take it out Saturday night. Got set up with a GTO on a 150 shot, we went out on tramway and the car was loading up real bad at a cruise, bout a 20 roll 3 honks he sprays I mash it car hesitates for a second hits the tires dirty I started catchin him, hit 2nd and hits the tires harder, get next to him and it flattens out around 4,500 and I here detonation, pedal it a little hit the shift light and 3rd, detonation WTF!!!! Go back to the parking lot, add a few pounds of fuel and (oh yeah, BTM is unplugged!!!) Plug BTM back in. Hey GTO, lets run again. Back to tramway turn the BTM to .5 deg, 20 roll, 3 honks it's on! Hittin the tires hard, 2nd gear same story, WTF!!! Started gettin a little warm, limped it back let it cool, added some water. Cool, cruise home and go to bed, layin in bed and remembered changing some vaccuum and boost lines earlier Saturday, didn't have a small "T" fitting to run the boost line to BTM, Hmmmmmmm lets see dumb ass, if you don't have the line to the BTM it WONT ****EN WORK!!!!!! I am an idiot! No worries, go fire up the car sunday, no coolant in the oil, runs good, idling for 20 seconds I pull the cap to check the coolant "Kapoooooof!" Blows the ****en cap off!!! Great! Compression in the radiator is a sacred religious miracle in some countries! NOT!!!!! So yes, another head gasket bites the dust! I am buying stock in MLS gaskets, one gasket at a time!!! Anyways, blower is coming off!!! Got something else to put on it :pimp:

Nope, I'm gonna spray it, so much easier to fine tune. I am sick of ****ing with it.

That sucks dude. What you puttin on to replace the bllower? Turbo?
Peek was 18lbs boost. Autolite plugs, 2 heat ranges colder gapped at 35. Timing locked out at 22 degrees and pulling .5 degrees per lb of boost, you guys must not have read the whole story, BTM was unhooked, 22 degrees is a lot for that motor not pulling anything out of it. It didn't BLOW the head gasket necesarily, it lifted the head enough that it is pushing compression into the radiator but no seapage into pistons. I bet if I retorque them again it will probably seal. I know nitrous is hard on motors, I have had 4 Nitrous cars now and I am extremely familiar with tuning them, I am just tired of this blower crap on my cruiser/semi daily, it is too sensative! I think I am gonna tone it down to be a little more reliable and just spray 100 wet shot on it for those "life and death" situations, LOL! I am thinking I want to do a 671 on my HUSH HUSH top secret yet extremely bad ass roller I just picked up. I can then build a motor specificaly for a blower.

Couldn't agree more...

you may have answered this b4 but what plugs, advance, and boost levels are you running, any idea on the compression as well.. I feel BadNews is onto something "you have something else going on" if you need any help let me know..
Did that on the last set, had AMS machine the surface for MLS's and put a nice coat on em. I honestly think the combination of 22 degrees locked out and forgot to plug boost line to btm so it wasn't retarding and the fact that I am only running 91 octane in it was the execution factor on the head gaskets. If I would have put good gas in it I think that would have solved the issue.

try a couple light coats of copper spray on the next gasket job and a super nice finish on the head resurface.
Oh snaaaaap! The never ending saga! Chevy vs. Ford! Lol!!!!
