Theres no holes to bolt a duckfoot to it and the 3 jaw pullers were either too short or too long to use to pull it off. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Right...but the pulley broke off so the remnants of the broken bolts are stuck in those holes, and I can't get to the back of the balancer to remove them...

I'll try to get a decent pic today when I go to my moms house. What about a prybar and rubber hammer to push it forward? I also had the idea to c clamp the duckfoot to the balancer, then use an extension and swivel to try and impact it free.

If it's seized to the crank, and since it's already damaged, heat it with a torch, you may have to drill and tap new holes for the puller, I doubt you'll get it off by prying.

What would cause it to seize to the crank? the other problem is its stuck in my moms garage so I dont have a whole lot of tools. No torch or drill. So far I can not get the thing to budge. Here is a pic...

I'll tell you what I would do if this was mine, and this is only my opinion, first I would spray it with some penetrating oil like Tri-Flow or WD-40 and let it soak while you move on to the next thing, which is you drilling out the broken bolts, this takes a little time and patience and most importantly a good quality drill bit, make sure you hold the drill straight, a good bit like one of my NITRO bits will go through those bolts like butter, use a good extractor with some penetrating oil, this is where some heat works wonders, once you get the broken bolts out, use a three bolt puller, but don't just crank on it, put some tension on it and tap the balancer hub with a hammer, increase the tension while tapping it, go slow, take your time, i've removed a lot of stubborn dampener's this way, the main thing is to not **** up the end of your crank, patience, patience, put a washer in the end of the crank if needed, it will come off, a hardware store propane torch is all that's needed for the heat, that's about all I have to offer unless you can get your hands on a large, good quality claw type puller to save yourself having to extract the broken bolts, maybe someone on here can suggest an easier route, but this is the way I would have to do it , good luck, you'll get it.

The problem is I dont have acess to a drill, or a torch with the car not mobile...do you think i could electric impact it off with a puller if only 2 of the 3 jaws will clamp?

listen to badnews... trust me, youre gonna wanna take your time and do it right the first time. even if that means waiting to get the proper tools. make sure you get the holes centered when youre starting to drill them out, as well.

Sometimes a balancer will stick to the crank because of different metals in the balancer and crank, I don't think that's the problem in your case, your's just isn't that old, if that balancer has never been off since the factory installed it, the first time will be tougher than the next, my guess is that you tried a little too hard and broke the bolts off before you got the balancer to move, like I said in the other post, tapping it lightly "on the hub" with a hammer once you get the puller tightend down will help it to break loose, and remember, a lot of aftermarket balancers are about .0015 on the tight side, and might need a light hone for proper fit, my BHJ Blower Special balancer would'nt go on right out of the box, your balancer will come off, but theres no way around doing it the right way.

hmmm alright. the balancer I put on was attatched to the underdrive pulley so last it was pulled off was about 2 years ago. The bolts that broke are the ones that bolt the pulley to the balancer...the balancer broke when I was driving on coors. Im gonna have it towed to a buddies shop to drill out the broken bolts and get it pulled off right. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

You need to do what badnews is recommending. Douse that bitch with penetrating lube in the hub and the broken bolts and drill them out. Start out with a small bit and work your way up. That will help you drill the holes staright. get and easy out and extract them and put your puller on and make sure the puller is pulling on each bolt evenly and staright or you'll have even more problems. Tap it as your pulling it and you could even get a benz-O-matic torch from home depot to heat it up the dampner so it will expand.

I looked at this and for a minute thought I blew off my crank pulley again...My wheel studs and wheel recently shared the same fate as my fallen underdrive pulley though
