No really, I don't care if you're a Ford, GM, or Chrysler guy it hurts to see a brand that's been around for 40+ years get phased out. I know most will say its the law of the jungle and GM will be healthier for it, and that it will make for a great comeback down the road. Oh well, Pontiac...RIP. :seeya:

Its very cheap to have GMC and Chevy because there redundant vehicles. change an emblem here and there and your done. Their are many people that don't know that their the same and will only buy a GMC or only buy a Chevy. Plus I'm sure their were issues beyond vehicle redundancy that caused them to do away with Pontiac. Its just a name, I'm sure their designs will live on in GM somewhere. Peace Pontiac :seeya:

^^ Probably, I thought the G8 and solstice were winners and with the new Camaro coming out I was looking forward to the next Firebird. Honestly though, GM was juggling quite a few brands - GMC, Chevy, Buick, Saab, Pontiac, Olds...

Whats funny is that I'm sure soon we'll be having this same conversation about Chrysler and their deal with Fiat

I say you should still go out and get a G8 for your graduation. This doesn't mean Pontiac dealers won't have plenty of inventory to get rid of and its not like they're closing down tomorrow.
