I said that statement because a 200 shot would not be good on the engine
:headbang:
Neither will a blower. If tuned correctly nitrous is just fine.
If its gonna be a street car 90% of the time then I'd go twin screw, just because on the streets you're usually not gonna be up in the higher rpm range so the centri would be asleep most of the time, but the centri will get you more in the high end so if you're running people a lot and letting the engine scream then I'd go centri. Think of it that way.
I never really understood while people worry so much about low end when going for power. It isn't like you are racing starting at 2000 RPMs and shutting down at 4000 RPM. All the centri cars I have been in drive like stock at low RPM, then pull hard towards the top. I like the feel of a turbo car the best.

Neither will any kind of forced induction
Centri asleep, lol? Wrong!
Bull!!! Your car is a lag monster.
what year car and whats plans for it is the main question?
The 2011 5.0 and i would like to get above 600hp possible

you and I both know anything added can cause strain on an engine but that much nos can cause even more damage. :nono:
I'd go with a different car lol
hater!

Not only a tune but need a degree colder on the plugs

You will need a degree colder plug with a blower or turbo too. I ran a 200 shot on my stock motor LS1 for years with no issues.

If I were you I'd turbo it.

It's not the "nos" that cause the damage. It's the cylinder pressure and bad a/f ratios. So if you make 600hp on "nos" and 600hp with a blower and it goes lean.....you will have the same amount of damage. Broken pistons.

Exactly and I know that what i'm saying is im not going to throw a 200 shot of nos when I can have something that will make power all the time and not have to be filling a bottle
Vortech V3 (they come A2A intercooled now)

With the Boss 302 intake manifold

lmao my automechanics instructor told me to get a turbo lol

I will look that up!now
I'd say neither. With those skinny 235s you wouldn't make use of anymore power anyways.

I'd just put some nice wheels and tires on it, and wait till you pay if off before throwing FI at it. A car payment, then a payment on the SC kit, then if you gernade the trans or engine, you'll have more bills than the car is worth.

why turbo? what are the pros to having a turbo as opposed to the supercharged? convince me I am having a hell of a time deciding and I want personal experience to back up the reasons. thanks

What are your goals for the car? What do you plan on doin with it?

Well not expecting it to be an 8 second car not yet anyways until the warranty dies lmao, but i would like to get above 600 hp on it. I realized I will need tires also because the stock tires are no good with a lot of hp. I would still like it to be street driveable, but can still use on track when I want.
You could install a centri with basic hand tools in your driveway, its easy to control on the street, the power band will almost feel exactly the same as stock, just with more hp/tq, it is very predictable, the v3 is self contained and there is no need to deal with tapping the oil pan or any of that bs like turbo or other centris, easiest install out of any other option, very simple design, don't have to deal with a millions pipes like turbo, its very very quite, would drive like a stock car around town, good service from Vortech, would run very low IATs with the A2A kit in ABQ heat, no heat soak, hmm what else?
600 HP on a stock long block? Maybe you should start by buying an 03/04 cobra
