Well I got really lucky. The only thing that broke was the 3-4 gear selector. I already pulled one off the spare parts trans I had laying around and installed it in my trans. All I need to do now is reassemble the trans and put it back in the car. With some luck it should be back on the road in no time.

Here is a pic:

close races, the mustang won one and it was to close for me to call on the other race
Agreed. One win for the mustang, one tie, one win for me from a roll until I broke the trans. Definitely need a rematch. lol .Oh and by the way there is video from inside the mustang someone needs to post it up.

I have the video from the 1 race inside the mustang. I can post the raw footage. Not enough footage to edit about 8 seconds of racing..

btw, glad you found the problem and getting it all fixed up

Hell yeah man You have one dirty DSM!! Real glad you were able to fix it easy. I'd be more than down to go to the real mexico where we can do a little better racing (digs and roll ons) and we can get some much better video.

Ya for sure I am down to do that again and def get it on video.

Matt how did you get the car home or was it still drivable?
No not driveable, It was stuck in 3rd gear, then by us ****ing with it we got it stuck in 2 gears at once, since the selector was broken. The car would not even roll with the clutch pushed in. So I had get the truck and trailer and a bunch of tools and the jack and pull it apart at 2 AM on a sunday in the journal parking lot. Had to take off the front axles and the driveshaft from the pumpkin. Got home at 3 am.

Do I hear a Sunday Call-Out? Best times for good footage.
I think I learned my lesson about sunday night racing. So probably not.

Last night my friend and I worked on the car for about 3 hours and got it from laying in pieces to back running again. The trans was completely taken apart and we had to clean and put back on the 3 cases, the center diff, 5th gear, synchro, and shift fork. Then came the easy part reassembling the car. We put it all back together filled the trans with oil and started it up and went out for a little cruise. It shifts just like it used to we put on about 50 miles and everything is normal again. Ran into a Porsche Carrera on the way home, he took off first and as soon as the car spooled we were 5 car lengths ahead and he backed out of it and wouldnt race again. lol all in all it turned out to be a really good night and like I said I got incredibly lucky that I was able to fix the car with almost no cost.
