Congratulations to the Solid Busa Bike. Way to Win!! The race in Albuquerque was a lot of fun. I lost in the 1st round. The cruise was a lot of fun, as usual. The weather was perfect. The Vega was tuned to run right at 10.20ish. It was a busy week last week trying to ge the car together. I quickley wired the nitrous through the wide open microswitch without a relay. In the 1st round, the switch failed. The scary part was, it apparently arced across the contacts and melted. I got to the finish line at 132 MPH and began to apply the brakes The car didn't seem to slow very well and before I knew it I was on the brakes VERY hard. The car WOULD NOT slow down. I finally realized the switch had failed and it was still spraying 100 HP of nitrous and fuel. Now wonder it wouldn't stop! LOL. I reached up and truned off the key and got stopped just in time. I lost to the turbo Busa Bike. Did you catch that same bike went 9.96 @ 150 later in the evening. Good times all around!! Thanks to everyone who came out. The BBQ was great. Joseph did a great job. Thanks to Eric for cooking for us.

Good job Sean. Well, you won some money that night not to mention the extra $20 from me betting you that you wouldn't hit a 9 that night. Well you got it but just to raz ya, you didn't back it up................. so was it a fluke like Art's 9?

Turbos are a bitch the first half of the track aren't they? You got that 9 with a lousy 60ft. and a slow 1/8 time as well. Lots of potential. But like a lot of the turbo Busas I've seen especially at our track, you'll eventually power your way to a mid 9 second slip.

The fastest mph I've seen in Albuquerque is 160mph from that big fellow from up North. He had a 450hp setup with a slider. The other one was my friend who had a Mitsu 16G, hand clutch, foot shifted, 6-8" over and otherwise stock setup. His put out 300hp. He ran 9.30s at best and averaged 9.60s.

It was fun times. I would like to see more participants in every class. It was only 20 bucks Mr Steve. But thanks for the challenge. You will see a 8 second slip at mid 160's on the stock motor here from my bike. It is just time and money like any other build. Get that turbo Busa up and running so we can run em.
