I bought a 94 Toyota pickup from my cousin that overheated it on the way to alb. I had the truck towed to Beaver Toyota and had one of my techs check it out. It looked like it had a blown headgasket. My cousin did not want to fix the truck as he has a baby on the way and needs a bigger vehicle. I ended up buying the truck and having one of my techs tear it apart. We found the headgasket was blown but one of the cylinder walls was scored pretty bad. We Sent the motor out had it cleaned up and honed installed new pistons and rings. We started to assemble the motor tonight. Here are some of the pics. Ill get more pics up of the truck and other things as we go. The truck is getting all new seals and gaskets, fuel filter, clutch with all bearings, Ive already installed frt brakes. The truck had some lil 225 tires i bought some used 235 mud tires with great tread for 200 bucks.
I went to the store and bought some paint for the block, at first i was thinking the traditional black but opted for some Bright Neon Green paint. The monster trucks are comming to town and i guess i was pumped to see Grave digger so i decided on the paint. I think it looks pretty cool.

Sweet, I gotta 94 yoda too. I have always wanted to mod it for some serious trail stuff but haven't got around to it yet. It's got 140k on the odometer and runs strong as ever. Are you gonna leave it stock?

The truck is white. Black would be badass though. I was thinking about doint that just do want to spend too much cash on it.

I scraped the green off the toyota lettering, so its the same color as the valve cover.

man i just got done rebuilding a 22re,got the whole damn rebuild kit which came with alot of extras for 180 shipped to my door,probably the easiet motor ive ever done,post up some pictures of the truck and tires u gonna put on

Update:
Motor is in. The fender on the driver side and lower valance had big dents in them. I bought a new fender and valance and had them painted. The Fender and lower valance have been installed. Vehicle had new windsheild put in and rear window with slider removed and solid window put in. Vehicle has been completly detailed and windows are getting a 5% tint today. Ill get some pics up. Next mod on the list is some American racing outlaw II wheels and under coating in fenderwells.

Just seen this thread, did you use a stock timing chain kit? If so watch out for those plastic guides. Some companies sell metal ones.
And bump for pics.

ive rebuilt a lot of 2.4's ive never had trouble with the plastic guides but they do worry me just a bit,where can one find metal ones

Updates on my toyota pick up truck. I decided to get rid of the mud tires i had bought because they were loud on the freeway. Ended up getting some 31x10.50 BFG all terrians from my work for a really good price. I also just placed an order for some American Eagle wheels.
I also had a stereo installed and custom speaker boxes made to fit in the two cubbies on right and left side in back seat. Will get pics up soon of truck and stereo. Heres a shot of the wheels that should be here on wed.

Tomorrow im going to undercoat the fender wells and take some pics.
