Seen my buddy in his 350Z in los lunas and he follows me to Wally World. I just put my lt4 hot cam in about a week ago. The last time we raced he beat by a car length, this was before I put the cam in. His 350z has full bolt-ons vs my Lt1 full-bolton lt4 hot cam still running on the stock tune.
So before the race im questioning how good the car will running on the stock tune. This is the first race with the new cam. Well it went pretty good on the stock tune, not stellar but good enough.
We line up and on his 3rd honk we go. He takes off a little bit before since its his 3 honk but by the end of first i put 1 1/2 cars on him, then 2nd i pull about another 2 cars and in third i pull 1/2 car. So i beat him about 4 cars. He was diffently in my rearview. After we pull over and he tells me good run and the cam diffenetly made the difference. He was being a good sport and it was a good race.
So a difference of about 5 car lengths different from the first time we raced i figure on the stock tune.....not bad at all.
Sending my computer to pcmforless this week, hope to gain a bit more. Hoping i will be in the 13's now, should be close as is, but the tune should diffenetly get me there.
