I have a friend who just got a new Camaro and wants to add some bolt-ons to make it a little faster. What brands should he stick with as far as intake, exhaust etc? And what things should be done before he gets a decent tune? And were would be the best place to get the tune? He doesn't want to do a "big" build he just wants something decent. All and any advice is appreciated :headbang:

This is the ONLY exhaust that belongs on that car imo.

This isn't my first choice on the intake but its currently on sale.
Late Model Racecraft Cold Air Induction Christmas Special!! - LS1TECH

I'd also get a set of ARH 1 7/8 headers, they run about 1600 for that car though....

Have your buddy sign up on the site btw, it would be nice have a 10' Camaro on here.

Here is a vid of one, with a Rotofab intake, Corsa catback, and ARH headers.

Nice car! If it was me. I would wait a while. Let some more aftermarket companies come out with more products. Each area to be modify is going to cost a lot. Wait and see what's the best option.

400 hp out of a car with a exhaust and a tune is not bad at all, i have not seen any other shops around here get power out of the new camaro have you???
400whp isnt bad...but when you have 385+ to start with...making less than a 5% gains over a factory tune isnt exactly worth bragging about...Unless the new camaros have THAT aggressive of a tune that there isnt that much room to improve. And im sure there have been shops maybe not around abq but around the country that have gotten more than 5% gains over factory tunes on the new camaros, lol

Coming from the guy that drives a suv, lol!
And how many times has your car broken something?? Hmmm..havent had a single failure on the SUV to date...yes stock is great...i guess i could spend $400 and get a tune thrown on the "SUV" and get more than a 10% gain in hp...but why, its just an SUV right, lol. But at least I dont have to worry about my shit breaking down, lol.
