This truck was ordered with every option available in 1998. My father-in-law is the original owner. This vehicle is low mileage and has had the oil changed every 3000 miles in spite of the fact that it is a diesel. Complete service records included. This truck gets 20-21 MPG on the highway at interstate speeds. It easily goes 600 miles on a tank of fuel (Hwy).This truck starts, drives, runs, shift and stops perfect. There are no known issues with this truck. We have purchased a four door pickup due to an addition in the family, otherwise this truck would not be up for sale. Both batteries were recently replaced with AutoZone gold top batteries. This is an awesome tow vehicle. It has not been modified with the exception of the Mag Hy-Tech extra capacity transmission pan that provides a drain plug for ease of servicing and an extra capacity Mag Hy-Tech differential cover that provides a dip stick to check the fluid level and drain plug for ease of servicing. This vehicle has never been wrecked or painted.
The Bad Stuff
The paint is rough. Much more rough than the photos indicate. The roof, hood and tops of the fenders have virtually no clear coat left. We got caught in a hail storm that beat up the hood somewhat. It isn’t very bad. The rest of the truck (sides, roof, etc. was protected by a slide-in camper at the time. There is a dent behind the driver side rear. There are scratches throughout. The leather is torn where Dodge installed the lever straight up causing excessive wear and a hole. The leather is beginning to show wear. The front grill is damaged where a previously installed brush guard rubbed it when opening and closing the hood. The dash is cracked. The tires are nearing the end of their life. Valve cover gaskets replaced and valves adjusted. Now leak free.
