After being eliminated in the first round due to my tranny not shifting into 3rd, I decided to let it eat.
On the 75 shot, with the window switch set at, 3200-On, 6200-Off the car went [email protected] with a 1.683 60'
I wanted to be the first one into the 10's on a stock tranny and rearend, so I changed the jets out to 100, raised the window switch to shut off at 6600, and come on at 3000.
The car came out hard, so hard it squatted and rubbed tire, I let out and then got back on it , I think when I did this I shot something out of the rear, and at the same time a coolant plug on the passenger side head shot off, I stayed in it to about half track when I noticed white smoke behind me, so I let out, and then said **** it, and got right back on it, still went [email protected] with a 1.61 60'. Pulled over at the end, found the coolant plug sitting to the side, I guess it made its way loose, luckily nothing leaked onto the track somehow. Didn't notice the rearend until I was on the freeway and started smelling gear oil and some smoke puffing up behind me.
Thanks to Adam, aka Stretch he went out of his way to get me a trailer, got her home safe. Now its time to get a 9"!
I think this is the fastest anyone has gone on a stock tranny/rearend in Abq.
To the pics.
